A quick explanation of our different paper stocks will follow: Glossy finishes are like what you would get with a photograph. Very reflective and very bright colours. Lustre is a beautiful finish which is somewhere between a Matte and a Gloss. If you're not sure what to choose then Lustre looks fantastic on al prints in our store. If you'd like your item printed onto a stiff watercolour-style paper which has a textured rougher surface then choose our "textured" option. Finally we have a 100% cotton paper which is extra sturdy, displays colours beautifully and is probably the best option if you want a classic Matte (non-reflective) finish.

Our prints come in a variety of sizes so please check your space carefully and compare your measurements with our available options from the drop down list before adding to cart. If you need custom dimensions not listed please contact us as we can usually do custom sizes.

We are based in the UK and delivery Monday through Friday. We use 1st class post and we try to aim to post within 1-2 working days after the order has been placed.

If you're based outside of the UK please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.

Prints 12x8" inches and smaller will be packaged in flat, board-backed envelopes. Larger prints are delivered in strong cardboard tubes. If any item were to arrive damaged in anyway (very unlikely!) contact us immediately and we will send a replacement at once.

A set of six genre paintings, ordinary life caught at close range across three centuries and several countries: In a Pine Wood by Christen Dalsgaard, Breton Girl in the Hothouse by Anna Petersen, Jewish Woman Selling Oranges by Aleksander Gierymski, The De Goyer Family by Adriaen van Ostade, Jews Praying on Yom Kippur by Maurycy Gottlieb and The Wedding Supper by Martin van Meytens. Each print is set on a cream mount with a printed caption band beneath it, the title in bold capitals, artist and year in small type, and mock survey coordinates at the right edge with elevation, latitude and longitude, giving the whole group the deadpan look of a field record. Van Ostade worked in the Dutch genre tradition of the seventeenth century, while Gierymski and Gottlieb belong to the Polish realism of the 1870s and 1880s. Together the six suit a dining room wall, a study or a hallway, and make a thoughtful gift for a history reader or a collector of quiet narrative painting.

• DELIVERY TIMES: Please note we are based in the United Kingdom. If you are ordering from the USA then deliveries will usually arrive in 2 weeks or less but please be aware that this is NOT guaranteed and they can sometimes take up to 4 weeks to arrive due to the irregularities of international transit so before ordering please bare that in mind. If you're in Europe delivery usually takes 1-2 weeks but occasionally as long as 3 weeks. If you're based in the UK like us then typical delivery times are 2-3 days after ordering.
