the-moon-by-w-h-davies-art-print-full-poem-beneath-van-gogh-wheat-sheaves-and-rising-moon-painting-poetry-poster
The Moon by W H Davies Art Print - Full Poem beneath Van Gogh Wheat Sheaves and Rising Moon Painting - Poetry Poster

W. H. Davies's The Moon, set in full beneath a detail of Vincent van Gogh's Landscape with Wheat Sheaves and Rising Moon. The painting fills the upper part of the sheet: a huge orange moon lifting from behind deep blue mountains, a sky of short swirling strokes in pale blue, cream and green, and a walled field of stacked sheaves in thick gold and amber. Below, a plain dark brown panel carries the title in white italic serif, the poet's name in copper capitals, the two six-line stanzas and the year, with the painter and work credited at the foot. Thy beauty haunts me heart and soul, O thou fair Moon, so close and bright: the Welsh poet of Leisure compares himself to a child lifting her arms to the light, and asks that his deep silence speak more than the nightingales. A glowing, restful piece for a bedroom, nursery, hallway or living room, and a lovely gift for anyone who loves the moon or Van Gogh's night skies.

• PLEASE NOTE: Our prints come UNFRAMED as default. We now offer some framing options but they are marked as "FRAMED" in the dimensions drop down box when selecting your size. The frames we sell are not the ones in the mockup images, which are for display purposes only.

• PAPER: All our prints come on the highest quality art papers and are produced with a full range of 12 pigment inks so they will maintain their vibrant colours for decades to come. A quick explanation of our different paper stocks will follow: Glossy finishes are like what you would get with a photograph. Very reflective and very bright colours. Lustre is a beautiful finish which is somewhere between a Matte and a Gloss. If you're not sure what to choose then Lustre looks fantastic on al prints in our store. If you'd like your item printed onto a stiff watercolour-style paper which has a textured rougher surface then choose our "textured" option. Finally we have a 100% cotton paper which is extra sturdy, displays colours beautifully and is probably the best option if you want a classic Matte (non-reflective) finish.

• SIZE: Our prints come in a variety of sizes so please check measurements and choose carefully from the drop down list above. If you need custom dimensions not listed please contact us as we may be able to do a custom size.

• REFUNDS: All our prints are 100% guaranteed. If you're not thrilled with your print when it arrives just contact us and we'll accept the return up to a YEAR after purchase! Check through our feedback to see why nobody ever wants to return their prints!

• DELIVERY TIMES: Please note we are based in the United Kingdom. If you are ordering from the USA then deliveries will usually arrive in 2 weeks or less but please be aware that this is NOT guaranteed and they can sometimes take up to 4 weeks to arrive due to the irregularities of international transit so before ordering please bare that in mind. If you're in Europe delivery usually takes 1-2 weeks but occasionally as long as 3 weeks. If you're based in the UK like us then typical delivery times are 2-3 days after ordering.

• PACKAGING: Prints 12x8" inches and smaller will be packaged in flat, board-backed envelopes. Larger prints are delivered in strong cardboard tubes.
