Hairy Woodpecker crowds a dead tree with several related birds arranged up the bare limbs like a study sheet. Each plate is mounted on cream card, with a printed caption band beneath giving the bird name, an invented locality such as Strong-Drum Territory, mock coordinates and elevation, and a plate reference number. Audubon often grouped several birds on one plate to show sexes and ages together, and these woodpecker sheets are good examples of that habit. Lustre is a beautiful finish which is somewhere between a Matte and a Gloss. If you're not sure what to choose then Lustre looks fantastic on al prints in our store. If you'd like your item printed onto a stiff watercolour-style paper which has a textured rougher surface then choose our \"textured\" option.
