Great Cinereous Owl, known today as the great grey owl, grips a bare branch against a pale wash of sky, its ringed face turned to the viewer. Great Horned Owl sets two birds on a lichened limb, ear tufts raised, one clutching prey. Tengmalm's Owl, now called the boreal owl, shows one bird perched and a second spread across a stump with its barred wings open. The plates are mounted on cream card, each with a printed caption band beneath naming the owl, adding an invented place line such as Grey Ghost Country, mock coordinates and elevation, and a plate reference. Audubon used period names that differ from modern taxonomy, and they are kept here as printed. The palette is almost entirely brown, bone and soft grey, which makes this the quiet, moody set of the group: good over a desk, in a reading corner, a bedroom or a games room, and a strong gift for anyone with a taste for dark academia.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e• PLEASE NOTE: Our prints come UNFRAMED as default. Lustre is a beautiful finish which is somewhere between a Matte and a Gloss. If you're not sure what to choose then Lustre looks fantastic on al prints in our store. If you'd like your item printed onto a stiff watercolour-style paper which has a textured rougher surface then choose our \"textured\" option. Finally we have a 100% cotton paper which is extra sturdy, displays colours beautifully and is probably the best option if you want a classic Matte (non-reflective) finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e• SIZE: Our prints come in a variety of sizes so please check measurements and choose carefully from the drop down list above.
